My name is [David Blaze], and I am reaching out to introduce myself as a passionate guitar player and teacher. With over 38 years of experience, my love for the guitar began when I was fourteen years old after being captivated by Led Zeppelin IV. Since then, my dedication to the instrument has never wavered.
I started my guitar journey by taking lessons at a local music store, and later I had the privilege of studying under a private teacher who came to my house once a week. The excitement and inspiration from those lessons still resonate with me today.
The guitar, in my opinion, is a mysterious instrument, and I thoroughly enjoy sharing the secrets and techniques I have acquired over the years with my students. One particular book that transformed my guitar playing is "Effortless Mastery" by Kenny Werner, a legendary pianist. While the book focuses on piano, its principles are universal and have greatly influenced my teaching method.
In my teaching approach, I also frequently utilize the "Cage Method," which provides a solid foundation in improvisation and basic music theory. I believe in empowering my students to explore their creativity and develop their own unique style on the guitar.
